Aloha! Our website was designed to share information about the Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) program in Hawaii, and give our participating teachers an online portal to communicate with other RET teachers. It is our hope that this website will be a place that ideas are shared, information exchanged and serve as a place for advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in Hawaii’s middle schools. To date, RET in Hawaii has delivered over 200 laptop computers, PDAs, Probes and wireless connectivity to over 25 middle schools on 4 islands. In addition, over 66 middle school teachers currently participate in mentored cross-disciplinary training in science and technology with University of Hawaii graduate students and professors.
