Hawai'i State Science and Engineering Fair (HSSEF) - April 5-7, 2010
Registration is now open for the 2009-2010 Hawaii State Science Olympiad.
Highlands Intermediate School accepts invitiation to participate in the 25th Annual National Science Olympiad Tournament in Augusta, GA.
One of the many benefits of participating in the RET Hawaii is that our program offers participating teachers the use of our Online Program. This Online Program is a place where teachers can exchange information, share ideas and access multi-media modules for use in the classroom and in the field.
Exposure to subjects in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, (STEM) through hands-on activities helps to build self confidence and a life long interest in learning. RET feels strongly that students introduced to these subjects during the middle school years, are more than likely to continue with STEM subjects as they grow.
RET addresses this issue by providing hands-activities in the form of modules for use in the field and in the classroom. Following are the current modules available from the RET Hawaii Program. Additional modules are in development with the collaboration of our participating teachers and faculty at the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
